The Art of Packaging

A box made in Italy, for a piece made in Italy.

The Art of Packaging

The first part of the piece you touch

A piece leaves Milan wrapped in something made much the same way it was. The weight of the lid, the grain of the board, the way a tag is tied - these are decided as deliberately as a stitch line, because they are the first thing the piece says for itself.

MADE BY HAND, IN ITALY

Boxes, labels and tags, held to the same standard

Our boxes, labels and tags are made by hand in Italy, by artisans held to the same standard as the leather inside them. The packaging is not a container for the object. It is the first part of it you touch.

Every packaging material comes from Italy. That keeps the work close to the people who do it, and it keeps short the distance a box travels before it reaches you.

Kept, or returned

A box worth keeping

The materials are recyclable and biodegradable. A box worth keeping should be able to hold something else afterwards; one that isn’t kept should leave nothing behind.

Gifting

Sent as a gift, or kept for yourself

Every piece is presented this way, whether it is for you or for someone else. At checkout you can add a personal message in your own words; a gift receipt is provided on request, with no prices shown.

For how the pieces themselves are made, see Materials & Craftsmanship; for the house, About us; for delivery, Shipping & Delivery.
